The Yard On Site!

The Yard On Site!

We have an update from The Yard! This week the two rear units approved in Phase 1 have reached the next stage of construction, with their glazing installed, thanks to IQ Glass. Now that our first units are officially watertight, the next steps will be fitting the corrugated metal cladding externally and internally, installing the underfloor heating and concrete screed. These industrial touches speak to the factory heritage of the site – and after such a tumultuous year, this is a promising finish to 2020.

The Yard is a great example of how to maximise a brownfield site, as a previously abandoned factory building that had fallen into a state of disarray and disrepair. Through conscientious and sustainable choices, such as using the existing factory wall and the existing ground slab, we have been able to use this project as an opportunity to have a positive impact on the local community

We look forward to being able to update you on the next stage very soon!
