Ricky Glover is an architect! After having joined us in summer 2014 as a Part I Architectural Assistant, Ricky took his masters at the University of Westminster from 2015-2017. During that time in 2016, the RIBA advised Chartered Practices that the average student was around £88k in debt. Having read this, Melanie felt compelled to create a sponsorship programme for those who excel in the practice. Ricky became the beneficiary of this programme, and his final year was sponsored by the practice.
Following this, Ricky then returned to the University of Westminster to complete his Postgraduate Diploma, from September 2018 to February 2020.
We are very proud to inform you that as of this month, Ricky has been accepted on to the ARB registry as an Architect, and we are delighted! In Ricky’s own words:
“From the outset, I felt very at home at Clear, assisting the team on the many exciting projects the practice were working on. Over the years, I have been supported by Melanie and the team, fulfilling my dream of becoming an architect. I have been given the opportunity to work on many diverse and challenging projects ranging in scale and sector across the key RIBA work stages from being a Part 1 all the way to Part 3. The experiences gained, provided me with the skills and experiences required to successfully complete the academic courses.I think the scheme is a great thing and from my experience talking with others on the courses there are very few practices offering such a sponsorship. I look forward to continuing my professional development at Clear, working on the amazing projects with a great team.”
Ricky even worked with Melanie on the refurbishment of our very own studio as seen above! We can’t wait to see what else this brilliant architect will bring to the table.
