Real Homes Ask an Expert: The Luxury Issue

Clear Architects’ contributed to a Q&A with the editorial director of Real Homes magazine (July issue), Jason Orme.

An image of our Forest View project was also included in the article, which features in one of the UK’s most popular consumer home design and build magazines.

Jason raised this interesting point:

Many straightforward extensions never enjoy the attention of an architect. In most cases, employing the skills and experience of a qualified [architectural] designer will result in interesting solutions to problems, such as limited natural light, access to the garden or awkwardly shaped walkways, and will produce a more attractive living space.”

He continues: “Investment in design up front is invaluable – the construction drawings alone will enable you to benefit from a competitive tendering process, driving down prices as well as helping you to get a fixed idea on how much each part will cost.”

Real Homes magazine is available in all major stationers.
