Planning Permission Granted: Wyvern

The proposal for a new modern home, adjacent to a Grade II listed property, was given permission by Epping Forest District Council (EFDC) in December 2015.

District Development Councillors hailed the design as “legacy architecture” for the local area. In an 11-1 approval vote last week (2 December 2015), several committee councillors commented during the planning committee meeting that the concept represents “stunning architecture that Loughton can be proud of”.

Melanie Clear adds: “It has been an incredible year for Clear Architects. Just last month we submitted exciting and ambitious plans to develop Debden Hall III on England’s Lane, Loughton. Our design reimagines the original building, retaining aesthetic elements introduced by Henry Holland in the late 18th Century and restoring the Grade II listed wrought iron gates and sweeping tree-lined driveway.”

“We have completed many diverse residential projects in the local area, and this year we were highly commended by both the New London Architecture Awards and RICS East of England awards. It’s been quite the way to celebrate our business’s 10th anniversary!” says Melanie.
