We are very pleased to have received planning consent to transform a tired family home which had previously undergone a series of ill-thought-out additions, into a spacious and well proportioned 5 bedroom property.

Internal re-modelling replaces a series of smaller rooms to create an open flow of spaces that meets the needs of a young, growing family.  A full width extension to the rear of the property provides a large kitchen, dining and entertaining space with flat roof lights to pull natural light into the existing and new spaces.

Upstairs, a new gable to the front of the house gives the tired façade a new lease of life, while to the rear, existing dormers will be over-clad in dark zinc with a vertical standing seam profile.  This contemporary material continues through the ground floor extension and is complemented by dark render.  The property will be further improved with new windows throughout and contemporary slate roof tiles.

This project is an excellent example of what clever design can achieve, creating modern family living with only minimal additional footprint.
