Aman has joined the Clear Architects team to manage our Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project, as part of a £116k grant from Innovate UK to develop commercially viable building material from ‘throw-away’ consumer products.
Aman is a Mechanical Design Engineer and graduated from Queen Mary University in 2017. He is inspired by the plethora of creative solutions that good design can offer in the construction industry. He is passionate about exploring multiple design solutions to deliver the best and most innovative outcome. Working alongside collaborative partners, Aman will research ideas for the sustainable design and manufacture of SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels), testing various solutions to discover the most efficient and achievable solution.
Sustainability also forms an integral part of Aman’s design ethos. “Sustainability is the key to moving forward and progressing how we develop the built environment. It’s easier to create something that’s not sustainable, because it’s cheaper. However, creating sustainable, commercially viable building materials is crucial to the future of our built environments so we can prevent so much waste being produced.”
