Melanie Clear

Melanie Clear founded Clear Architects in 2005. “very proud to have the exciting range of such amazing projects that I have the privilege of working on and putting my name to, both past and present.”

To create great buildings ever more so in today’s world takes thought, consideration, determination and most importantly vision.  Detail is everything throughout a project – holistically designing with the wider design team. “Architecture is a passion for me. It’s not a job, it’s a vocation. ” She is specialist in residential designs, having worked at practices Fraser Brown Mackenna, Aukett (Swanke), Buckley Gray (Yeoman) and leading an architectural arm of Aitch Group .

As an architect Melanie believes “you should be able to design quite literally anything, that is why Clear Architects is more than just architecture its the combination of sustainable ethos with interior design; the  collaboration of ideas and synergy meeting to create one unique building”.

Melanie has been a RIBA Judge for the regional 2016 Royal Institute of British Architects and is a media commentator for trade, regional and national media. Melanie is a columnist for the consumer magazine, Real Homes.
